I guess it's "spotlight on the american indians" time.
TV sync's a lot with events I've noticed. They played Close Encounters of the Third Kind many times during the week previous to the olympic opening ceremony. Thought for sure there would be more of an "encounter"...maybe (most likely) it's to come.
I know tv in general programs it all too, but AMC sync's most of their shows and movies: http://www.amctv.com/
Mars Rover Curiosity: NASA says Gale Crater Resembles Mojave Desert
"You would really be forgiven for thinking that NASA was trying to pull a fast one on you, and we actually put a rover out in the Mojave Desert and took a picture," said project scientist John Grotzinger. "The first impression you get is how Earthlike this seems, looking at that landscape."
Death Valley - a desert area that is part of the Mojave Desert in eastern California and southwestern Nevada; contains the lowest point in North America.
