100th anniversary of...Diana?

We already know that 2012 is the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking.

Recently, we learned 2012 is the 100th anniversary of Diana.  Diana Gould, who is currently 99 years old but will be 100 by the time she carries the torch in the 2012 Olympic Torch relay.

'Diana' of course reminds most everyone reading this of Princess Diana.  Gould, means 'gold' another 2012 meme.

I've mentioned this before but it's worth mentioning again for the heads up.  April 15 is not only the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking but Kim Il-sung (the father of Kim Jung-il) was born on the same day.
