The US drought - what gives?

Recall a couple of days ago, I pointed out a Huffington Post article about the US drought and told you the area I lived in had a recent 26" inches of rain.  21" of it was in one week, almost a month ago.

Still the Huffington Post ran a ridiculously wrong map showing the area I live in - being in a drought:

Here's another map - dated the same date as the Huffington Post, that shows the area I live in is not in a drought!
