In January, 2012, A Cypress tree burned down in Florida. It was the oldest tree in North America, and the 5th oldest on the world (think Penta Gone). At 3500 years old, it was around in the days of Noah. Some took it as a harbinger of judgement. Not sure where I'm going with this but it seems relevant in light of events happening in Cyprus.
