I made a comment about John Dee above and think it might be relevant to this post too, he was a necromancer and raised the dead in his spare time!
I wonder if they are trying to do a ritual to turn people into the living dead, most people are nearly there already so maybe whatever ritual they do they will finish them off and turn them into full time zombies. it is always possible that the shock of the event could crash peoples minds which in turn makes them easier to control. Exactly like mk ultra techniques it breaks up the mind then they can slip in and take them over?
